In the early days before the motor car and car leasing were invented, Bolton was noted as another of the foremost towns of the Industrial Revolution. This town in Greater Manchester was the place where Flemish weavers settled in the 15th century, and in the early part of the 19th century it became a boom town with cotton mills springing up everywhere.

Things have a habit of changing though and Bolton was no exception as after WW2 the cotton industry went into decline.

However, this coincided with the time when cars were becoming more and more popular and business generally began to pick up until today when we find that the good people of Bolton have a higher percentage of drivers leasing their cars instead of buying them.
